Sugar Cookie Apple Crisp Recipe
I’ve had a bit of a sweet tooth lately(i really need to get control of it) and have been in a huge baking mood. I’ve made anything and everything from cookie dough cupcakes, peanut butter filled cookies and plain old brownies. The other day I made apple crisp but with bit of a twist to it!
SUGAR COOKIE TOPPING!
YUM!
Recipe
6 Cups Peeled and sliced Apples. I used granny smith.
1-1/4 c. brown sugar
2 tbsp all purpose flour
1-1/2 tsp ground cinnamon(divided)
1/2 tsp ground all spice
2 tablespoons lemon juice if you don’t have this on hand use water
1 tube of refrigerated sugar cookie dough
2 tbsp granulated sugar
Heat oven to 350°F. Mix together the apples, brown sugar, flour, 1 tsp of the cinnamon, the allspice and lemon juice. Toss in bowl until all the apples are coated.
Spoon into ungreased dish or pie plate.
Cut cookie dough into strips about the size you would use to make cookies and layer over apples.
Sprinkle with sugar!
Cookie for around 35 to 45 minutes or until apples are tender!
Serve with vanilla ice cream if desired!!
